Sylvere keeps the party going in this high energy mix filled with cheeky dubs and hip-shaking rhythms.
Hailing from Paris, Sylvere is informed by his heritage as the bass-heavy traditions of Caribbean Soundsystem culture dominate his output. With releases on Trax Couture, Tobago Tracks and Sans Absence, Sylvere made his debut on Modeselektor’s Monkeytown Records earlier this year with EP1. Over the course of five tracks, Sylvere keeps the dancefloor in mind from the relaxed grooves on ‘Because’ to the heavy industrial-strength anthem ‘Carnival’ – the EP has it all covered, drawing from dancehall and UK funky influences. And this is just the beginning of his collaboration with Monkeytown Records, teasing another release on its way.
“To end the year well, and as more and more clubs in Europe are closing their doors because of the pandemic, I wanted to deliver a mix full of energy, to make you dance or at least shake your head wildly,” Sylvere says about the mix.
